- I used to be a tech writer, but retired to become a hobbit. I studied Philosophy at Oxford University (UK) but did not finish. I moved to California in 1988. I believe all things work for the best of all possible worlds. I blog. I write. I listen.

Asimov once wrote a sonnet for me: ~ There was a young man called Meyer ~ ~ To what heights does this fellow aspire? ~ ~ He says he can write ~ ~ A novel in one night ~ ~ But then he's a terrible liar. ~ So now I aspire to fulfill Asimov's dream of my destiny. But I can't do it by myself; I need your help! First we gather to define a plot and sections for each to write and plan an all-night marathon to complete the book.

Columns, essays, poetry, and a few short stories. Several thousand technology articles and company literature on semiconductors, embedded systems, and digital TV.
