Gang -- here's a little update on Sunday's Meetup, now that we have a topic

World-Building 101

Bring your planet-building tools and build-an-alien kits! After a little socializing and announcements, we'll launch into a world-building exercise in which we work together to invent an alien world/culture/species. This exercise is intended to hone our creative skills in creating a believable and multi-layered fiction world--but it could also become a shared universe for future stories by group members.

About The Meetup

Join us in the community room at the Uptown Lunds! New or inactive members, this is a great opportunity to connect or reconnect. If you've had a sale or publication, bring your happy news - - if you've had a crushing rejection, let us commiserate.

If you haven't attended a Meetup at this location before, here's the scoop: Lunds in Uptown has a community room upstairs that is quiet, free and has great bus access. Even better yet, it has a fabulous deli but is not a restaurant. So we can brown bag our own lunches or buy a lunch there. The deli selection includes salads, sandwiches, soups and sushi. If you are going to be getting your food from Lunds, please arrive fifteen minutes early to pick out your food before the meeting.
