I am postponing our October Meetup one week since well...I haven't made time for any writing lately and frankly, time is tight around late October generally. Everyone has some Halloween party to go to around the 31st, sooo...although I wanted to meetup on the 22nd, this really doesn't work for me this month. Welcome to all new members! I hope that you will have a chance to come out to the Borders on North Avenue on Saturday at Noon the 7th of Nov. If anyone has schedule conflicts, you may contact me and we can correspond on a one on one basis. Please contact me by November 6th in some capacity if you plan on coming out.

Sorry about last time everyone! I know someone once again suffered for my lack of appearance, though you can all carry on without me, too, remember! I am working on a short story right now I am pretty excited about and I can't wait to share it with everyone. It takes place on Mars and has made me feel wonderful about myself lately! Hello All! Thanks so much for coming last month if you did! It was a very productive meeting and we had a chance to hear a few people read. I am hoping this time around we can all be a little more prepared. Please try submitting your piece or corrections ahead of time in the Files section of our meetup site if you would like a full critique. Generally, we would all like at least a week's notice for such things, but if you don't have it in by August 15th, just go ahead and bring along a copy when we meet up. Keep on dreaming! This is our first meetup at a new location on the North Side of Chicago. I am assuming there is a public coffee area here like any other bookstore that we can meetup within. If anyone has suggestions or questions, please contact me. I'm sorry I haven't been able to post sooner. I've been rather busy looking for work! Although I did get in a quick page this past week!
I hope to meet new faces the Saturday after next. I will be driving up into town and looking for parking, so hopefully I won't have an aneurysm before I get there. It was originally planned for this week, but money is tight. Talk to you all soon! Gina
